Meet Jessica Homewood

Hello, my name is Jessica Homewood, and I’m the owner of Coal Creek Labrador Retrievers. I live in Western Colorado on a farm where our dogs are part of our daily lives—not separate from them.

I’ve been raising dogs since 2018, but Labrador Retrievers have been part of my life far longer than that. The first time I saw the striking white coat of a Labrador Retriever, it truly was love at first sight. From that moment on, I knew this was a breed—and a calling—I wanted to share with other families.

Coal Creek Labrador Retrievers was built from that love, paired with education, responsibility, and a deep respect for the dogs in my care.

Experience, Education & Purpose

My background includes a degree in Radiology Technology along with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. This combination has shaped how I approach breeding—with both compassion and structure.

I work closely with trusted veterinarians, chiropractors, and professional trainers to ensure our dogs receive the best possible care throughout their lives. Health testing, proper nutrition, and thoughtful daily routines are not optional here—they are standard.

All dogs in our program are AKC Registered Purebred White Labrador Retrievers, and all breeding dogs are fully health tested through OFA, Orivet / Paw Print Genetics, and PennHIP.

Why Coal Creek Labrador Retrievers Is Different

Coal Creek Labrador Retrievers is not a kennel and not a puppy mill. Our dogs are family.

They have access to a large outdoor field, a temperature-controlled indoor space, fresh water at all times, and daily interaction with people, children, and other animals. They are raised to be confident, social, and adaptable—because that’s what makes a great family companion.

Being a White Labrador Retriever breeder in Colorado, I believe it’s my responsibility to raise dogs who are not only beautiful, but emotionally and physically sound.

Placing Puppies with Purpose

Placing a puppy in a loving home is one of the most important parts of what I do. Puppies are exciting and adorable, but they are also a 10-plus-year commitment.

Providing quality food, fresh water, appropriate shelter, time, attention, and daily interaction is essential. Because our dogs are part of our family, placing them into the right families matters deeply.

Coal Creek Labrador Retrievers reserves the right to refuse placement when it’s in the best interest of the puppy. This is not about volume—it’s about doing right by the dogs and the families who welcome them.

More Than a Breeding Program

We could not do this without the wonderful families who come into our lives through Coal Creek Labrador Retrievers. Watching our puppies grow into beloved companions across Colorado, the United States, and beyond is something I never take for granted.

We love our dogs, we stand behind our program, and we are grateful to share our family with yours.

Koa is absolutely perfect. She is sweet, gentle, and such a joy to have as part of our family. We began training her as a service dog, and she has truly been exceptional—her temperament, intuition, and kindness continue to amaze us. We are so grateful for the care and intention that goes into Coal Creek’s dogs.
